NYSC Presents 140 Corps Members As Nominees For President’s Honours Award

 The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has presented one hundred and forty nominees for the 2016 Presidential Honours Award with an affirmation that the closing winners will appear carefully on merit.




The Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, gave the affirmation at the aperture commemoration of the affair of the 2016 President’s NYSC Award Alternative Board in Abuja. 

Kazaure, who fatigued that the alternative action had, over the years, been bare of ethnic, religious and gender bias, bidding aplomb that the committee’s members, as administrators with accurate clue almanac of integrity, would advice to sustain the believability of the process.

Explaining the guidelines, he said Corps associates who accept requested for relocation, concessional deployment, served in their states of agent or activated claimed or ancestors funds for beheading of association development activity are butterfingers from application for the award
Responding, the Chairman of the Board Dr. Ihenetu Kevin thanked the NYSC Management for the aplomb reposed in the members, and went on to assure that they would handle the assignment with all faculty of diligence, bellicism and objectivity.

Earlier in her acceptable address, the Director of Corps Welfare and Inspectorate Department of the NYSC Civic Directorate Headquarters, Mrs. Victoria Okakwu, explained that the alternative of Corps associates for the President’s Honours Award yield abode at the bounded government, accompaniment and civic level. 

She added that the best two in anniversary accompaniment were called by the NYSC Accompaniment Governing Board and forwarded to the NYSC Headquarters for added screening and presentation to the Civic Alternative Committee.

Members of the board are fatigued from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police, Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre and the all Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools. 
Others cover assembly of the Board of Vice-Chancellors of Federal Universities, Board of Rectors of Polytechnics, Nigeria Employers Consultative Association, Civic Council of Women Societies, and two retired NYSC Directors while the Director of Corps Welfare and Inspectorate serves as secretary.
